Self portraits in a retro style

When I put this site together I wanted it to be a bit more about my personality and less about presenting a professional front to the world. That's why the hamburger menu winks at you, and there's different colors running through pages.

I put that same philosophy into the "about me" page. I hate having my photo taken, and I didn't want to force my gurning chops on visitors. As I'd been playing around with mid-century illustrations, I figured I'd create a couple of self-portraits to replace the "I'm really not happy doing this" photos.

Anyhoo, I put together a small collection of images, some of which are on the about me page. Sometimes I use them when I want to share a link on Twitter or LinkedIn. I wanted to use them on LinkedIn, only apparently that's "frowned upon".

More sucks to them.

(And shouldn't they be a bit more flexible with those of us who are camera shy for whatever reason?)

This is the current set. I might add a few more in the months to come.

My name is Ross Hori
