Bikes for hire in Kobe

Photograph of a quartet of red bicycles waiting to be rented.

Kobe’s an odd shape. It’s long and thin, hemmed in by mountains on one side, against the Inland sea on the other. Either end merges seamlessly into the next city. You can walk pretty much anywhere in 3 or 4 hours at most.

If you’re less energetic, you could try a bicycle. There’s a few places that rent them around the place, and a city wide scheme as well.

All you need is a credit card and a smartphone.
