An escape to Kobe Sports Park

Another one of those "on a whim" photowalks. I had to drop my wife off at the hospital for a regular check-up, and with it being a beautiful morning, decided to head over to Kobe Sports Park.
It's a beautiful place to go for a walk, with tree lined paths and stunning views out across the city. At weekends, the park plays host to The Orix Buffaloes baseball team, and the athletics track is used for various sporting events throughout the year. In the week it's an altogether quieter affair with just a handful of dog walkers and the occasional elderly person out for exercise.
I milled about for over an hour, taking odd photographs here and there. It was a joy to have the park almost to myself and explore shots and angles that in busier times would attract attention. There was the added bonus of the annual koyo season starting, with many trees bathed in their red and yellow plumage.
My time was a little shortened by forgetting to charge the battery in my camera. Not that it mattered. I had some great shots to look back on, and the memory of a refreshing walk in gorgeous autumn sun.
